Dragonfly Dreams & Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits!

Ok!
That was as close as I could get to turning myself into a dragonfly!
"Stamp like a dragonfly, sting like a bee"
It's almost the same as Muhammad Ali's motto,
but MUCH craftier!

Available on page 138 of the 2018-19 Annual Catalog or Online.

Available on page 217 of the 2018-19 Annual Catalog or Online.

As always the people designing for the catalog came up with fantastic ideas!

As you know, I love all things bees and butterflies and dragonflys!
SO I can tell you, this set was a huge hit with me.
This is also one of those sets the allows you to go "all out" or "super simple".
the possibilities are ENDLESS.........

I heat embossed the dragonfly in black, then used ink pads and the Aqua Painter to watercolor the wings.  For dimension I added some Silver Metallic Thread, some retired enamel dots and Rhinestone Basic Jewels. I just loved how crisp and simple this turned out.

Brusho, Brusho, Brusho! for the cool splatter background. The paper that looks oddly pinkish here is actually Shimmery White Cardstock, with a touch of Basic Pearl Jewels, for a sophisticated touch.

This one was stamped and heat embossed and watercolored just like the first one..........

With some Wink of Stella, for a sparkly winner.

Bees!  Layered using the Detailed Dragonfly thinlits. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with White Stampin Emboss Powder. I also added an array of old embellishments for fun.

for stopping by.

Crafting Forever

Thats what I have for you today!

Crafting Forever
They're fun stamps that will remind you how much you love stoking your creative fires. And better yet, they're approved for use in conjunction with the Stampin' Up! Angel Policy.
How could you go wrong!?

Found on page 170 of the Annual Catalog or Online.

Check out what the folks at the Home Office did with them:

I was inspired to make cards with mine that I will share with my other Stampin' Friends!

I let the Garden Impressions 6x6 Designer Series Paper be the WOW factor of this card.
Then I used the different shades you can create with the Calypso Coral Blends
to minimally color the pot and the scissors.
In the center of the scissors I added a small Faceted Dot, for a tiny speck of bling.

I love super Simple cards, don't you?
This one is nominally colored,
using three complimentary colors I chose using the Color Coach!
The sentiment is from the Soft Sayings Card Kit.

I also let the Designer Series paper be the WOW here also,
this time using Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.
I then 'fussy cut" and colored a single pen and added some Faceted Dots

This one is PUNNY!
The new Making It TV show inspired that!
Night of Navy, Balmy Blue and Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper, again some nominal coloring of a single scissor and a little Rhinestone basic Jewel
on the Scissor and the Sentiment!
For stopping by.

Balloon Celebration w/ Balloon Bouquet Punch

Good Morning!

Float some good wishes. Or arrange a relaxing get-together with friends. This set has a bounty of thoughts and images to convey whatever you want to say.

Found on page 74 of the Annual Catalog or Online.

Found on page 210 of the Annual Catalog or Online.

The Annual Catalog has these delightful ideas for you.
REMEMBER
There is a page listed to your right where you can Case The Catalog.
It gives you all the products used in the catalog samples.

Here are my specimens for you!!

This was a fun simple one with complimenting colors of Balmy Blue, Night of Navy and Gray Granite.

How fun is this pattern from the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper?
The strings the balloons are Silver Metallic Thread, "tied" with
Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon.

Sweet AND Simple!
The main color is Bermuda Bay,
the centers of the balloons where 'stamped off" once
to give them the lighter shade.

This one just screams FUN to me. Also super simple, the image was stamped several times in three complimentary colors.
With a little Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
I added the Color Coach! to the page links on your right!
It is a great resource and one I use quite often.

Thanks for floating by to see me.

Pals Blog Hop September 2018

Welcome to the Pals September, 2018 Blog Hop. The 2018 Holiday Catalog from Stampin’ Up! Is out and the Pals are excited! Sit back while we share creations from “Our Favorite Holiday”.

You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I wanted to show you some things from the
Holiday Catalog,
so I chose to do a Christmas Card.

Found on page 13 of the 2018 Holiday Catalog or Online.

I used several elements from the Farmhouse Christmas Bundle,
page 13 of the Holiday Catalog.
Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper
5/8 Striped Burlap Trim
Festive Farmhouse Cardstock Pack
Shaded Spruce Blends

Farmhouse Framelit Dies
I also used items available all the time in the Annual Catalog.
Layering Oval Framelits
Whisper White Thick Cardstock
Crumb Cake Cardstock
Cherry Cobbler Blends
Basic Rhinestone Jewels

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad

I layered Cardstock and Designer Series paper, because I love a card with layers!  I added the ribbon element behind the main image, fringing the edges a bit. The truck was cut out with the Farmhouse Framelit Dies and attached to the layering ovals with dimensionals to give it a little 'pop'. I also colored a teeny bit of snow on the tree with a white gel pen.

Finally.....because every card needs some bling,
I placed the smallest Basic Rhinestone Jewels onto the headlights!
Now it’s time to use the Blog Hop Line-up below to see what the rest of my Pals have created to inspire you.. Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, October 10, 2018 for the next Pals Blog Hop. October is time for some wicked fun with “Wicked Folds” where the Pals will show you creations that are anything but a standard card fold. Don’t miss the fun.
