Bee Thankful

See what I did there?  That's beeeecause todays stamp set features a BEE!
If you know me, you know I have a "thing" with bees and dragonflies.  I have tattoos of each. My bee is a Queen Been a flower smack on the top of my right foot! I plant lots of pollinator plants and have several friends with hives.  If you are in the market for some Maryland honey and spa products made from that honey check out my Friend Kara's shop:

Now, for todays stamp set!

Bee Thankful

Located on page 125 of the Annual Catalog or Online.

Is this not the most cute and cheerful set ever?  It was my no. 1 pick when I browsed the catalog the first time.
Give this bee some color. He will Thank You for it!

The Stampin' Up! Catalog has these two cute samples, and remember you can find everything you need to CASE (CopyAndSelectivelyEdit) the catalog on the CASE The Catalog page of this blog!

There really are a lot of ways to color this set. I think I did a pretty good range with my samples.  Check them out and let me know what you think by leaving me a comment.

For this one I chose to only color the bee and the leaves, leaving the Wow factor for the designer paper. Yes, that paper IS contraband. His/Her little wings have Clear Wink Of Stella on them to give a little shine.

This is Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper. I LOVE the colors in these papers.  This guy also has Wink of Stella on His/Her? wings.

This paper is from Twinkle Twinkle I stamped onto Granite Gray and colored the Thanks with a white Watercolor Pencil. The rest was colored with Many Marvelous Markers.

This one is just fun and colorful! I colored it in rainbow colors

Accented Blooms and Tailored Tag Punch

I have another FABULOUS FLORAL set for you today.
I am somewhat partial to flowery stamp sets. Not sure why!

Accented Blooms

Located on page 19 of the Annual Catalog or Online.

Create BIG messages with a few words and some beautiful imagery.
This set also coordinates with the Tailored Tag Punch.

Located on page 211 of the Annual Catalog or Online.

The Annual Catalog has some
eye catching samples.

These Clear Tiny Treat Boxes are super fun and easy to work with. Great for favors or a little something.

This is really a cool way to show some of our fantastic colors.
The whiteish paper is actually one of the

Wood Textures Designer Series Papers.

This is a great set to show off some of the Brights Cardstock and our Watercolor Pencils.

I had a LOT of fun making up my cards
to show you!

I stamped the image with Versamark and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. The Butterfly is from the Springtime Impressions Framelits. and was cut out on Glossy White Cardstock. The coloring was done with Many Marvelous Markers.

I did just a little watercoloring with Refill Ink and an Aqua Painter.
The plaid paper IS Contraband šŸ˜‰.

I love being able to take even the tiny elements of a stamp set and create a card around it! The dry embossed yellow was using the Petal Pair embossing folders. The wire element behind the sentiment is Silver Metallic Thread.

I am just in love with this Soft Sea Foam paper! The Designer paper here was a freebie from a Stampinton & Co magazine. The Dry embossed paper used the same pair of embossing folders as the last card and my circle was cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

to you for stopping by!

Heartland

Because I have an adorable Country themed stamp set for you today!

Heartland

Located on page 58 of the Annual Catalog or Online.
Country Classic images with a country classic vibe. You'll be whistling a cheerful tune as you bring new life to these timeless stamps!
How cute is the catalog sample! Did you know that the little crate behind it is made with the Wood Crate Framelits?

I think this set is super cute. I grew up in rural farm country in New Jersey, so this is a great set for me to use for friends who still live in that area!

Check out my offerings!
I stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Black Stampin' Emboss Powder, then used ink pad refill ink and my aqua painter to add a touch of color.
Wood Textures Designer Series Paper  is a MUST with this set. I added just a touch of color with ink and an aqua painter to keep the rustic feel.
Copper Trim added just the right touch to this one, stamped in Soft Suede

I was going for John Deere Green here!

I hope you like my Rustic Country Offerings today!

for always stopping by!

Peaceful Reflection

Good Morning!

Today I want to show you
Peaceful Reflection

Located on page 158 of the Annual Catalog or Online.
Let these beautiful flowers elegantly dance off the paper. Create reflections by turning the stamp over and stamping with the back side!
See the reflection in the catalog sample? Flip the stamp over and stamp with the back for this look.
How cool is that!?

I love, love, love the little dragonfly. Dragonflies are one of my favorite things along with anything with bees!  While I am writing this post I am down in Chincoteague and our yard has literally hundreds of Dragonflies right now! I kid you not! By the time you all read this I will have gotten another dragonfly tattoo!  It will be done with a watercolor technique on my upper back just below my necklace line.

It will look something like this:

So you can understand why I used the dragonfly stamp in EVERY ONE of my samples!
Here They Are:
I love using framelits to add a dimensional word. This Hello is retired. I do tend to keep any framelit with a word, even  after you cannot get them any longer. Forgive me for teasing you with something not current. You can always check Ebay for retired items!
The outside scallop shapes are contraband Framelits! The smaller inside ones are Layering Squares Framelits, which I use all the time along with the Layering CirclesLayering Ovals, and the Stitched Shapes. They are all super basic tools to add to your stash that will help you build dimensional layers and texture to your projects.
The wings although hard to see, but have Clear Think of Stella on them to give them some shimmer.
The 'pinking shear' edge of the bottom layer are also contraband. Hey what can I say, as much as I LOVE Stampin' Up! I am not married to it.  I feel that using other products helps my creativity and also enhances my Stampin' Up! items.
The wings here have Clear Think of Stella also, and I think you can see it a bit better.

Tearing the edge of the paper is a super old technique that I have seen being used again lately. It gives a fun texture and artistic flair!
The paper I used here is Watercolor Paper, and I did a wash of color on it with ink from a refill bottle and an Aqua Painter.

Falling Flowers and May Flowers Framelits

Today I want to show you Falling Flowers Stamp Set and the coordinating Framelits May Flowers.
Get it? "falling".
Have you all figured out yet that I have a REALLY odd sense of humor?

Located on page 168 of the Annual Catalog or Online.

Get a new take on FLORAL!
with its fun shapes and modern cuteness,
this set is sure to become a favorite.

Located on page 218 of the Annual Catalog or Online.
The catalog has this cute Home Decor sample !

Personally I LOVE the message!

Let me show you how I used these items!

I embossed the image with black embossing powder.
Again, I embossed the image but with white onto Vellum Cardstock, and used the stained glass technique of coloring the back of the cardstock.
If you are unsure of a technique I have lots of videos posted on my
Technique Videos Page to help you out.

I love the technique of laying the cut image back inside itself. I have no idea what it is called though!   The background was dry embossed with the Garden Trellis embossing folder with Shimmery White Cardstock. The top layer, where the flower is cut is also Shimmery White.  It really kicks up your card a notch without overwhelming it!
I used my Stamparatus to perfectly align this card! I stamped the larger white layer in my Stamparatus  then, lined up the smaller one and stamped it, easy peasey to have them line PERFECTLY. I love my Stamparatus. If you have trouble getting things to align or want to stamp multiples of the same stamp, this tool is  MUST HAVE.

Contraband ! :O)

Whoo Hoo! It's Saturday!
Myself, I have a busy weekend
as we are headed to New Jersey for my Nieces Wedding.
This past week I only stamped
ONE DAY!
I know, can you believe it?
I played with some fun flamingo stamps from My Favorite Things, and paper from both Papertrey Ink and Lawn Fawn.  (I get no compensation from any of these companies.)

Here is the Stamp Set
It is called Let's Flamingle.

Available HERE

The great Pink solid papers are from this collection.
It is the Perfect Match Pastels Cardstock Sampler.

Available HERE

Gorgeous Plaids from Lawn Fawn.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Plaids! I have a sneaking suspicion that Stampin' Up! will have some soon too!  Whoot Whoot!!!
The paper is Their Perfectly Plaid Spring Collection.

Available HERE

I had SO much fun playing with this set.

When I make this again I will line up the flamingoes on the bottom and stamp the sentiment on the top, Shaker cards are my FAVORITE!

These plaids just make me SMILE!

It is hard to see but that little flower on top has a rhinestone.

A Perfectly FUN Birthday card.

Cheers! Thanks for stopping by!
